The analysis of the blood groups in the 873 cases of psychiatric patients (consisted of schizophrenia 74% and other mental disorder 26%) at Srithanya Hospital revealed the higher percentage of the bolld group A in these patients in comparison to the percentage of the blood group A in general poplation. In another word the percentage of the blood groups B,AB, of the these patients were less then general population.
