Three patients with ictal psychosis were treated by stereotaxic amygdalotomy upon the sides that exhibited EEG abnormalities. The results were highly satisfactory-psychological status improved EEG abnormalities disappeared, and ictal psychotic attacks were abolished. The author wish to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Hachiro Sata for evaluation of the electroencephalograms and electromygdalograms, and to Mrs. Somsong Suwanlert and the team of psychologists of the Psychology Department for performing the psychological tests.
