ชื่อเรื่อง/Title: The Doctor-Patients Relationship

แหล่งที่มา/Source: Journal of The Psychiatric Association of Thailand, Vol. 16, No 1, January 1971, Page 1-8

รายละเอียด / Details:

Summary; In all treatment, there is a constant interreaction between the doctor and the patient. The doctor's attitude is all important. He should be understanding patients and should have a genuine desire to help. The patient approaches the relationship with the helplessness of a child needing support. The interaction must be built gradually upon mutual trust and cooperation. Many of the reactions of both patient and doctor are determined by unconcious motuvations. Two very important classes of such reactions are transference and countertransference, which are not easily discerned by doctors untrained in psychodynamics. However, if doctors are aware of strong preconcious emotions in their pateins and in them selves, this of itself is a real achievement.
