The atuhor describes the source of Community Mental Health extended in almost every country. Since hospitalization for all psychiatric patients is impossible, the government shares with each community the effort to hold the majority of patients within their family and their own local community under preventive and therapeutic. Research atudies on chronic schizophrenics confirm the effective influence of community mental health on the incuased discharge rate. The artich further deals with methods and practices of Community Mental Centers and also the half-way house.
