รายละเอียด / Details:

The writer strongly believes that the problem of Mental Health in Thailand has long been recognized ever since the reign of King Ram Kamhaeng as literally appeared on Stone Inscriptions of Sukothai At the gateway there is a bell hung up. If any one of the public has a complaint or grievance of body or of mind to place before the King it is not difficult. He goes to sound the bell that is hung up King Ram Kamhaeng hears him call and, on questioning him makes an upright investigation for him. So the people of Sukothai are glad to cultivate groves of arecanut and betel everywhere in this city. The Mental Health Servics in Thailand has an evolutionary change from archaeic treatment process to modern era of Community Psychiatry. The establishment of Community Mental Gealth Centers in Thailand should be cautiously concerned with Thai culture and governmental pattern The writer recommends that Community Mental Health Centers lean on the government service and Buddhist priests; the latter will greatly help Mental Health Workers by training or at least inoculate them humanity which enhances the effectiveness of public services.
