Moh Lun Phii Pha is the case for the indigenous therapist or the healer in Northeast of Thailand. The method of treatment has been transmitted since the oldenday. The author has been unable to trace or find any data about it's origin. The principle of treatment is shamanistic activity. The healer is a woman who has a strong belief spirit believed to be a cause of either physical or psychiatric illness. Then the healer gradually persuades the client to do so. However phii pha is a benevolent spirit who is able to overcome the client's suffering . Since malevolent spirit is the cause of the client's illness, if the spirit changes its mind and becomes the same company of phii pha, then the client's illness is cured. The method of treatment is a kind of group therapy which consists of the healer 1 the co-healer 5-10 the musician 1 playing mouth organ made of bamboo and the client 1. The healer who performs shamanistic activities are characterized by ritual and communication with only phii pha through glossolalia. Persuasion is under possession trace,and encouragings the atmosphere of friendship and the sound of music. Therapeuticsession is lasted not more than two hours and then take a rest, and continue for a few times. The number of sessions usually depend on symptoms of the client. Such treatment is very popular among the villagers in Northeast of Thailand.
