During 24th June 1977-15th January 1979 Chiengmai Neuro Psychiatric Hospital was responsible for Mobile medical unit to serve people in rural area of Chiengmai province.The main purpose was to integrate Mental Health to Primary Health Care services. 1 Psychiatrist, 1 Psychologist, 1 Social worker, 2 Psychiatric nurses had formed Psychiatric team. Others in mobile unit were 1 Dentist, 1 Pharmacologist and 1 driver. Team work activities were carried out every weekend by community co-operation. Mental Health promotion and services were functioned effectively as well as Primary Health care services.
