Discharge group have been organized by the psychiatric teem in the department of community psychiatry, Srithunya hospital from 14 August 1980 until the present time. The groups are set in the therapeutic community program of each ward. The indication of this type of group is to prepared the improved patents before discharging them from the hospital and returning to the community. The group leader guides each of the patients to work at home and disscuss with them about the follow up program.
