The objectives of this resrarch were to study factors that influencing the narcotic consuming behaviors and to fine dout the methods to provent and solve the narcotic consuming problemsof the high schools students in Muang District, Phisanulok Province. The samples were students from Mathayom 1-6. Quantitative data were collected by questionaires in 1,504 students 55 students were purposively sampling out by focus group discussion (FGD) to analyze the relationship between the risk factors and the narcotic consuming behaviors. We found that the rate of smoking was 23 percent (male to female 2.7: 1) vapour inhale was found in 2 percent (male to female 1.8: 1). Marihuanacousuming 2 percent (male to female 8: 1). Opium and heroin consuming 0.4 percent (male to female 5: 1). The results of the analysis of the relationship showed that sex, level of education personal skillsperception of narcotic materials and environmental personal factors such as marital status of their parents, behaviors of their parents, narcotic consuming behaviors of members of their families, relationship of students and their families, environmental non-personal factors such as places to stay during their students and their incomes had statistical association with the narcotic consuming behaviors. The lists of the narcotic consuming materials were consecutively as followes: cigarettes, alcohol, amphetamines, marihuana, inhale materials, and heroin. The most importamt persons influencing their narcotic consuming behaviors were their parents and the students themselves. It these 2 important factors were strengthened other factors could not turn them at all.
