The article deals with the methods and problems of the family therapy in child psychiatry. The importance and role of the parents, relationship among the children and the members of the family, environmental factors, which are very important to the children's growth and development, are discussed in details. The authors reported one interesting fe,ale case of childhood schizophrenia who gets better after one and a half year admitted in residential care of Samrong Child Psychiatric Hospital. The child has an alcoholic and severe psychoneurotic maternal grandmother who is the dominant figure and disagrees angrily with mpther over child care. The authors emphasizes that the family therapy is very important and nescessary to help the psychiatric disorders in children.
