The "Day Hospital" Depratment of Somdet Chaopraya Hospital; was re-evaluated after having been opened for 2 years. The method of evaluation was performed by sending the questionaires to the hospital ataffs and the patients' relatives, and also by evaluating the hospital records. It was found that there were both good and bad overall results. The staffs and the relatives stated that the department was benefitial to the patients; although twenty five percents of the patients were not satisfactorily improved. The majority of all patients were living more successfully in the community. In order to get the better result, the department should be improved in certain ways.
