This is a study of 1325 patients who received psychiatric services from the Child Guidance Clinic, in Bangkok, in 1975. The purpose is to evaluate the outcome of the Mental Health work in Thailand. It was found that the incidence in male was a little higher than female. The highest number of children was among 9-15 years, and in the adult was among 20-30 years. The presenting problems in children were mostly from intacted family 63 percents but only 10 percents were broken family. Most of the cases in adult were single 67 percents. The patients were mostly from the middle economic class in both children and adults. Mental retardation was mostly found in children 38 percent and behavior disorders was second 20 percents. Ehile in adults the incidence of neurosis was the highest 29 percents and psychosis was second 20 percents Most of the cases were referred by the professions and their residences from many parts of Thailand. Thirty three point eight of the adult and 13 percents of children had previous psychiatric treatment. Treatment resulted in 27.4 percents improvement in adults and 18.8 percents in children.
