The purposes of this research were to study factors correlating and affecting on the mental health of married-working women from three groups of careers : government officials, government enterprise employees, and private company : teacher and bank employees in Muang district. Two hundred and twelve were from stratified random sampling. The instruments used consisted of personnel background information, a role stress scale, a stress coping behavior (SCB) , a social support scale and a general health quetionnaire 30 (GHQ-30). All of them were completely tested for validity and reliability except a personnel background information. The statistic used in data analysis were 1) descriptive statistic : percentage, means, standard deviation 2) inrerential statistics : t-test, F-test (One Way ANOVA ), Chi-Square test, Pearson Product Moment Correlation, Coefficient, Stepwise Multiple Regression และ Multiple Logistic Regression. Data processing were used by SPSS FOR WINDOWS The results were found that family income and adequacy of income had significantly correlated with mental health. Where as role stress had significantly correlated with mental health in which women with lower level of role stress had better mental health than the ones with higher level of role stress. Stress coping behavior (SCB) had significantly correlated with mental health in which women with more SCB had better mental health than the ones with low SCB. Social support had significantly correlated with mental health in which women with more social support had better mental health than women with lower social support. And was found that factors affecting the causes of mental health problems were an adequacy of family income and stress coping behavior (SCB) of women. This research may contribute a guideline in promoting of women's mental health especially stress coping behavior (SCB).
