The objective of the research was aimed at studying the confidence of the Health Belief of persons with Amphetamine used at Nakhon Sawan Rajanagarindra Psychiatric Hospital. Selective samples of 57 patients were studied during March to May, 2003. The research instruments were questionnaires. Consisted of Demographic Data recording from, Health Beliefs developed by investigator and reliability of questionnaires was confirmed at 0.72 Data were analyzed by finding out frequency, percentage , average, and standard deviation. The result showed that the average age of a complete novice was somewhat over 26 years (64.9%) with dependency of more than a couple of years (78.9%). At present 98.2% of the amphetamine used have been rehabilitated. The initial use of amphetamine was enticed by friends 38.6% by inhalation of the amphetamine 86.0% by daily intake of amphetamine/or almost daily 80.7% with one tablet at a time 63.2%. Most of the persons with amphetamine used only one variety of drug 80.7%,at monthly expense of 5,000 bath, or less. Those taking the amphetamine while at work or when inclined for it amounted to 28.1% All dimension of health Belief of persons with amphetamine used had good understanding Considering each dimension, perceived susceptibility, perceived severity, and perceived benefits had good understanding, however some misunderstanding still remained in perceived barrier. The results of study suggested that health personals would greatly benefit the efficient planning of amphetamine rehabilitation and healthier activities of the part of the sample of the patients studied.
