Research Objectives : 1. To analyze the contents of Paya which conform to taking care of and promoting mental health. 2. To study on paya usage of well-learned persons and people in general for taking care of and promoting mental health. Research Conclusion The finding could be concluded a follows: 1. A study of data from 43 volumes has show that Paya whose essence confirms to the emotional quotient has 198 verses on the element of "goodness" 167 verses on the element of "intelligence" and 106 verses on the element of "happiness" 2. Data from the interview of 20 key informants reveal that 15 persons or 75% of them male use of paya whose substance conforms to emotional quotient with element of "goodness" giving attention to others 9 persons or 45% use it to establish a food relationship with others, and 6 persons or 30% use Paya in the optimistic approach, and they are content with what they have. 3. The study of 143 people being interviewed indicates that 21 people or 30.03% have used Paya with element of "goodness" in paying attention to others, 36 people or 50.05% have used in enjoying a food relationship either others,23 people or 32.89% have used Paya with element of "happiness" in developing an optimistic view. The research findings imply that the knowledgeable informants and people likewise make people use of Paya to promote and enhance mental health and emotional quotient in a similar fashion. Those are paying attention to others, establishing a food relation with others, and having an optimistic view. It can be said that three elements of emotional quotient most affect mental health. Nevertheless, the knowledgeable persons do emphasize on satisfaction to what they have as equally as to the optimistic outlook.
