The attitude survey of 179 health center personnel in Chantaburi Province was conducted. 65.9 percent of them responded that village health volunteers (VHV) and village health communicators VHC were useful in health activities. Most activities were data survey and nutritional working of 41.9 and 40.8 percent respectively. Factors that motivated village health volunteers VHV and village health communicators VHC to work effectively were as following: salary 36.3 percent good selection of the persons at the beginning 27.9 percent regular supervision of village health volunteers and village health communicators 17.9 percent.
