แหล่งที่มา/Source: Journal of Clinical Psychology, Vol. 7, No. 1, May 1976. Page 9-17

รายละเอียด / Details:

An experiment was carried out in a group of 12 autistics and 12 control to investigate if there were any differences in their preferences for 4 varieties of stimulo:inanimate object, part of human figure, animal, and human figure. The subjects in both group were matched for ages and sexes. It was hypothesized that the autistics would prefer stimuli pertaining inanimate object and others bearing no relationship with human being to that pertaining human figure. It was also hypothesized that the control group would prefer stimuli bearing relationship with human figure to the others The results did not definitely confirm the hypothesis, since no clear cut preference was found both in the autistics and controls However the general trend was that, the autistics preferred or chose part of human figure more often than human figure inanimate object and animal respectively. The controls on the other-hand chose animal, more often than human figure, part of human figure, and inanimate object respectively. Suggestions and discussion were made with regard to the procedure and the stimuli which might bear some affects on the results obtained.
