Two cases of periodontal diseases with mental health problems have been reported. The problems were anxiety personality change, inferiority, and loss of confidence. These mental health problems interfered with normal daily life and work. The problems took a lot of the patients tome and money as they had to visit a dentist frequently. They were not satisfied with the society and therefore felt discouraged. Periodontal surgery had been done by means of flap operation and laterally repositioned flap operation. The outcomes were satisfied. The patients were pleased with the treatment and their mental health improved tremendously. They could lead their normal life and could contribute to the society. From this report we can see that a dentist with proper periodontal surgery techniques can not only improve patients periodontal problems but also patients mental health problems. Socioeconomic problems and human resource problems can also be solved this way.
