The Objective of this study is to fine out about the factors that motivate people toward gambling. Although, most of people know quite well about the bad outcomes such as confict with lawa, personal stress, family disord and social problems and yet they keep on addicted to gambling. This study is a qualitative research, focusing on group discussion technique, indept interview and observation (formal and informal). The 3 important motivations can be concluded from this study. The 3 motivations are the following. One is the affective satisfaction ( ecitement or enjoyment) consciously as well as subconsciously. Two is the social satisfaction. Understanding if these motivations may lead to the formation of sstrategies to stop this devastating habit. That is by creation more satisfaction factors to counteract. Two case studies are presented in the report.
