Behavioral and psychiatric assessment of 20 children from the 18 divorced families were analyzed during June 1990 to July 1991. We found that the leading problems in young children are regression and emotional instability which may disturb mother and child relationship. Learning , emotional, behavioral, social problems and maladjustment are commonly found in adolescents. The relationship of the parents among thirty-five percents of the divorced families was worse.
