Onset of tics begins in children. There were 35 cases of children reported. The ages were between 6 to 12 years and boys were 4 times of girls. The incidence in age group and the prevalence in boys are similar to other reports. Most of the lesions involve at face, neck and upper part of the body. They usually had symptoms for a while between 3 months to a year before the children were brought to see the physician. The parents tried to manage them in different ways including punishment, threatening, reminding and indulgence. Punitive attitude was found in half of the cases which usually aggravated the symptoms instead of disappearance. Physical examination and neurological signs were within normal range. Most children had average I.Q. except 6 cases had dull normal to borderline. The precipitating cause was largely unknown, but the symptoms of tics followed some incidence such as physical illness, accidents, physical punishment and the situation that arouse fear and anxiety. The characters of children prone to tics were inhibited, rarely expressive himself usually tense and reserved appearance. They gave little verbal response. Most of them showed no overt signs of anxiety or depression and none were psychotic. The underlying symptoms showed aggressiveness in fantasies, playing and drawing. Ambition and competition were also noticed. These children liked to play actively in ground and showed muscular strength. Somehow they appeared as passive aggressive character. The course of disease was variable. The drug use which was mostly affective was haloperidol. The disease was variable. The drug use which was mostly affective was haloperidol. The diazepam was the second choice and amitryptyline was added in the case that showed depression.
