Fear of eye confrontation or Taijin Kyofu in Japanese name is erythro phobia characterized by an anxiety of being looked at others and an anxiety of unintentionally star in at others with strange looks. These fears make social situations very uncomfortable and a times result in social incapacity. Erythro phobia is commonly seen among college student in Japanese culture. In this sense one might say that Taijin Kyofu is as culture-specific to Japan. In Thailand, the authors have been reported 5 cases; 3 males and 2 females. They an all teenagers, most of them endeavored to be unpleasant inform of their peers of stranger There is no psychotic symptom in our patients. We consider these phenomena would be founded more than our report, since in Thailand, the social conflict trends to be internalized
