A study was made of the mentally ill patients who were admitted in the Saunsaranrom Hospital for a period of longer than five years ending on the 8th August 1983. The total number is 343 cases as 226 male and 177 female. Most of them 91.55% are schizophrenia and would like to be discharged 51.31%. During the time at hospital, only 15.61 percent of the cases had regular visits from home and 50.44 percent never had a visit at all.
