Evidences shown one-off attempts would end up to completed suicide 100 times more than general population. This study aimed to explore the psychiatric factors related to multiple attempts among psychiatric youths. Design was unmatched case control. The 144 samples were youths aged 15-20 yeas visiting OPD at four psychiatric hospitals: Suanprung, Prasrimahaphol, Khonkaen and Somdejchoapraya psychiatric hospitals. Control groups were youth with one-off attempt experience and studies were experieced more than once. Two interview tools; first was used to screen and clarify suicide behavior and second was administered to get-personal and psychiatric illness data, based on ICD-10. Frequency standard diviation Chi squares and adjusted Odd ratios were used in data analysis. Mean age of the sample was 18.1+-1.4 years For the repeaters, male/female ratio was 1:2. Youths with long-term school leave were 43%, living with parents 30%. The relationship between gender, employ status and people-living with factors and multiple suicides were not significantly found. Adjusted Odd ratios and 95% CI resulted as follow: F10-19 3.98 (1.32-12.48), F20-29 3.51 (1.25-12.89) and F90-98 3.86 (1.06-13.02). Interestingly, F30-39 was not found associated with multiple suicides.
