Two cases of severe self mutilation syndrome or van gogh syndrome was presented for thr first time in Thailand. Psychodynamic and Psychopathology study revealed castration fear, repress Homosxeual Impulse, Unresolved Oedipal Wish, Primitive Aggression, Guilt and Distorted Body Image were attribute to this psychotic syndrome.
