This research is intended to evaluate the drug addicts remedy and health restoration project U-Thong district, Suphanburi province by concentrating on appraising fundamental factors, process and achievement of the project. The participants in this research are 798 patients. The information is collected by interview. Follow-up record data of U-thong office of Public Health are analyzed by using percentage, mean, and standard. The result based on 11 remedy centers found that most of the patients 94.4% took amphetamine. Total officers for the remedy program are 27 officers of publice health and 399 of public health volunteers. The total cost of the program is 461,972 Baht, average cost 579 Bath per patient. The remedy's process community uses program of Thanyaluk Institute which is twice a week-day program, total 9 days within one month to complete the program, patients completing the patients program are expexted to have better knowledge and attitude toward addicts. Follow-up results 7 times are done after one year. Regarding to the last four consecutive urinalysis found that 772 patients 96.7% urine are negative. The average cost of taking amphetamine is 100 Baht daily, the eftective cost of this project equals 599 Baht per person. Then, individual remedy cost is equal six-days-taking amphetamine. The result would be worthwhile.
