It was a cross sectional study. The objective was to study the prevalence and risk factors influencing stress, depression, self deliberate injury, and abused alcohol among workers. The samples of the study 3,552, were drawn from 50 factories in all, 12 regions of Thailand and Bangkok. Each choosen factories should had 200-499 workers. The method of sampling were self-weight sampling and simple random sampling. The tools for the study were questionnaire for general information, screening test for stress, screening test for depression, questionnaire for self deliberate injury, and questionnaire for abused alcohol. The statistics used were minimum, maximum, median, frequency, proportion, 95% confidence interval, and Chi-square test. The prevalence of high and severe stress was 23.9% (95%CI=22.5-25.3), depression was 32.8% (95%CI=31.3-34.3), self deliberate injury was 1.9 (95%CI=1.8-1.9), and abused alcohol was 26.9% (95%CI=25.4-27.4), Factors influencing stress, depression, self deliberate injury, and abused alcohol were financial status of the workers, financial stuatus of there families, fringe benefit from the employers, and drug adddiction. The results of the study can be used planing and bugeting process of the mental health system and can be applied to develop prevention and promotion intervention for mental health.
