The questionnaire was composed of two sets of questions. The first of questions elicited whether the subjects received a number of aspects from their married life, asking twelve questions beginning with "Do you receive these things from your married life?" The second set of questions consisted of 32 questions asking the subjects whether they had experiences a number of problems in their married life with the questions beginning with "Do you have these problems with your spouse?" The responses to the second set of questions were rated on a four-point scale of not true, mostly not true, mostly true, and absolutely true. However, there were only two choices for sexual questions: yes or no. Results: The findings of the study revealed that 727 subjects filled out the research questionnaire. Their ages ranged from 21 to 75 years (mean age =42 years). The ration of men to women was 1:2. It was found that most subjects were satisfied with their married lives (85.8-95.8%) and they did not have any problem with their spouses (80.9-98.1%). When all subjects were classified by gender into two groups: men and women, it was discovered that male subjects received significantly more satisfaction with their married life than female subjects, especially when it came to the issues of love, warmth, mutual assistance, spiritual support, happiness, and better mental health, Moreover, more men significantly did not perceive that their spouses had any marital problem than women, especially the problems of bad communication, having more respect for other than for own spouses, substance dependence, other types of dependence, not sharing work load, not taking care of the children, lack of time for family, and initiating a fight with spouses. On the other hand, female subjects felt that their spouses were not too jealous to cause them their freedom with statistical significance. Finally, regarding sexual relationships, more female subjects indicated that they refused to have premarital sexual intercourse as well as to have extramarital affairs than did male subjects with statistical significance. Finally, more male subjects did not feel that their spouses were unfaithful to them than female subjects with statistical significance. Conclusions: More than 80% of the subjects were satisfied with their married lives. In particular, male subjects had more satisfaction than female subjects in almost all aspects investigated. Besides, they indicated that if they had a chance to choose a new spouse, they would still choose the present ones. Finally, most subjects revealed that their mental health improved after getting married, especially men.
