The Universal Health care coverage project has virtually applied capitation tate for outpatients and controlled health care cost for inpatients by diagnosis related group (DRG). The 1999-2002 financial analysis of sena hospital has revealed that while revenue remained unperturbed at 65-70 million baht annually, the outlay uncovered by the government, increased about 26-51 percent and ranged from 57 to 86 millon baht per year. Its quick ration (net revenue to debt) was 0.9 the current ration (accured to debt) 2.1, and the income labour ration 1.6. The hospital should seriously consider an increase of income through various measures including accrual account basis and minimizing its expenses and debts. Rooms of improvement can be made on a control of medical supply inventories, manpower, and instruments.
