The purpose of this study was to evaluate the development of Nongsarai Primary care unit at Pakchong district Nakhon Ratchasima Province in the direction of development of service and interaction with the community. The subjects in this study were recruited by accidental sampling from the out-patients department of Nongsarai Primary care unit on January to December, 2002. A structured interview of satisfaction of the operative was used to collect the data from 320 out-patients of Nongsarai Primary care unit from 1 July to 31 July, 2002. The evaluation of the operation of Nongsarai Primary care unit was based on the interview of 6 health care providers, employing descriptive statistical analysis. The one-year operation of Nongsarai Primary care unit was improved and its score climbed up from 72.4 percent to 79.3 percents. Eighty percent of the families in the community were covered by the survey. Of the 4,452 home visits, 68.6 percent were devoted to socializing. It catered 7,605 patients, most 53.7% medical patient. Whereas, most of the patients 77.2% were very satisfied with the services. The health care providers rated their satisfaction as good 68.2 and very good 27.2%. The results should prove valuable to the development of the Nongsarai Primary care unit.
