Stakeholder analysis is an important research tool. It facilitates insights into the characteristic, objective stance, power, legitimacy, interest and relationship among different stakeholders. The analysis can be applied to organization development, policy planning and implementation, situatuon analysis and natural resource management. It is one of the methods that enable bridging between research, policy, and practice. This paper reviews the content, method, procedures for conducing stakeholder analysis, including its strengths and weaknesses.
