1) To infer the degree for concerning children’s mental health. 2) To seek the characters for the age and sex and kinds of children for psychiatric counselig. Method. Object is 19196 cases coming from the clinical psychology department of the Children Hospital of Chongqing University of Medical Science (CHCUMS). To make psychiatric counseling psychological tests and physical and chemical tests. Results. The rate between the all outpatients and the children for psychiatric counseling is very low but it is more than 10 years ago. The most (60.8%) of children for psychiatric counseling is children at 6-11 years old Boys (69.1%) more than girls (30.89%). There are 17 kinds of pediatric psychiatric counseling Hyperactivity is the main symptom for counseling Mental Retardation (MR) Learning Disabilities (LD) and Attention-Defficit Hyperacivity Disorder (ADHD) are the most frequent 3 kinds. Conclusion. The degree for concerning children’s mental health is very low. The most of children for psychological counseling is school age children and boys more than girls among the children for psychiatric counseling and the most kinds of children psychiatric counseling is the mental behavioral disorders affecting learn of children.
