Objective: To study unit cost in treating ADHD out-patients and compare to the fee that charged from patients. Method :This retrospective descriptive study collected ADHD patients data from computer base 127 patients and from randomized OPD card 45 patients including data from OPD pharmacist social worker psychologist to analyzed unit costs in treating ADHD from the service providers point of views in 2006 Data analysis used mean and percentage. Result: ADHD sex ratio male female was 4:1. Most common range of age was 6-10 years that compatible with 1-3 grade of primary school and lived in Amphur Muang Chiangmai province and paid fee by their parents. Most common drug used in treating ADHD was methylphenidate (85.83%) at 15.46 mg/day by average Unit cost in treating ADHD patients was 4,526.06 baht/patient 1,297.54 baht/visit Labor cost Material cost Capital cost Indirect cost ratio was 25:36:4:35 Fee that charged from patients 3,485.63 baht/patient 999.27 baht/visit. Conclusion: Unit cost in treating ADHD patients was 4,526.06 baht/patient Hospital got lost 1,040.43 baht/patient Revenues/costs ratio was 0.77.
