Objective To develop Thai Delirium Rating Scale. Method The Delirium Rating Scale (DRS) was translated into Thai and administered to a sample of 85 psychiatric patients to test the reliability and validity. Clinical psychiatric interview by psychiatrist was used as a gold standard. Results Thai Delirium Rating Scale has good reliability and validity for discriminate delirium from other psychiatric patients at the cut-off point ณ 10, the sensitivity was 97% and the specificity was 91%. Conclusions Thai Delirium Rating Scale is a reliable and valid instrument to diagnose delirium for medical personal and for delirium research
