We conducted a matched case-control study. The objective of this study was to investigate the relationship between alcohol consumption behavior and violence against women in Khon Kaen province. We used the interview form with the controls and cases group with ratio 1:2. The case group was women who were done violence toward and the consultant at one stop service crisis center :OSCC, Khon Hospital (47 women). The control group was women who were living near by the living place of the case group and had same age group (94 women). The results indicate that, there were three factors gave effect to do violence against women: women who had drinking husband (adjusted OR=3.19, 95% CI=1.12-9.09), person show drank at least three time a week (adjusted OR=3.25, 95% CI=1.23-8.61) and person who spent time for drinking at least three hour (adjusted OR=3.09, 95%CI=1.17-8.14). Therefore, the public relations and the campaign for controlling and preventing doing violence against women should be consider on these factors.
