The Spatial Distribution Patterns of Alcohol selling spots in the Northern Region Communities has aimed to survey the number and the distribution patterns of alcohol selling shops and spots in the Northern Region communities. The surveying area to estimate the alcohols relatives covered 6 provinces, Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, Nan, Tak, Phitsanulok, and Nakornsawan. The stratified two stage sampling was used to illustrate the 16 district area representations of alcohol selling point both inside and outside municipality area; Mae Sai District, Sriphom District, Mae Sod District, Paknampo District, Nai Wieng Nan District, Nai Muang Phitsanulok District, Hua Ngom District, Wiang Ka Long District, Mae Na Wang District, Yu Wa District, Chong Kap District, Nong Krod District, Don Kha District, Dhedi Chai District, Wong Tong District, and Baan Dong District, Surveying by research staff by using 500 meters distance picture from the ground of the Global Positioning System (GPS) were used as the study methods. The GPS has illustrated the road map and recorded the alcohol shops or spots in details. The research staff has surveyed the location, shop and spot status, nearby road communities as well as the other service place; accommodation, educational place and many related factors. The descriptive and quantitative analysis was used to analyze the nearest neighborhood. The findings of surveys revealed that inside municipality area found 816 or 61.9% of alcohol distribution shops or spots in the northern communities whereas outside municipality area found alcohol distribution shops or spot as 39.0%. In Chiang Mai, 253 alcohol shops and spots were found whereas 203, 114, 101, 93 and 52 alcohol spots or shops were found in Phitsanulok, Nakornsawan, Tak, Chiang Rai and Nan Province respectively. 65.7% of alcohol shops and spots were the convenient or retail shops. The number of the alcohol shops and spots inside and outside municipality were in same amount. 27.6% of alcohol shops and spots in the municipality were shown as the food and drink restaurants, and entertainment clubs. Beer was sole in every alcohol shops or spots in the northern communities whereas 46.8% and 14.2 of these shops and spot sole color liquors or local liquors. It was also observed that the 96.6% of selling liquor shops or spots had the permitted certificates to sell liquors. 93.0% of liquors shops did not comply with the selling liquor time as the commercial department of Thailand announcement. 13 of alcohol selling distributions area were clustered except the Mae Na Wang district in Chiang Mai area was high clustered distribution. In the area of Yu Wa district in Chiang Mai, the high dispersed distribution was found. If we considered the alcohol shops and spots which located 500 meters from the educational places in Chiang Mai and Phitsanulok, it found that 60.0% of Sriphoom area and inside Phitsanulok province itself had the most liquor shops and spots located near educational places respectively.
