This research paper has 3 objectives: 1) analyzing the effectiveness of the strategy for road safety in Thailand especially on the enforcement for drunk driver implemented recently 2) comparing the enforcement for drunk driver in Thailand and in foreign countries 3) elaborating strategic management of road safety in Thailand in case of law enforcement for drunk driver Quantitative and qualitative methodologies are implemented in the paper. According to qualitative approach, information is collected through interview with 21 key informants and group discussion with 105 persons in 4 part of Thailand. Then the information is analyzed descroptively.Sampling technique is executed under quantitative method. Questionnaires are distributed to 561 policemen who deal with drunk drivers nationwide. Statistically, percentile and standard deviation are computed. One way ANOVA are used to test the hypotheses given. The research indicates that strategic management of road safety in Thailand for drunk driver should be implemented with related measures and supports that is STOP SRUNK DRIVERS Model, S=Setting "4M" (provide men, money, materials and management), T=Technology (investigate through technology), O=Order to Community Service (measure for social/community services0, P=Pay System (for reward and payment) D=Development in Law (to improve related regulations), R=Realization (provide information to people/PR.), U=Unity of Alcohol Check Point, N=New Alcohol Beverage Taxation, K=Knowledge (provide knowledge about road safety to students0, D=Drunk Drivers Services (send drunk drivers home), R=Road Safety Organization, I=Insurance, V=Village Alcohol Check Point, E=Evaluation, R=Research, S=Special Alcohol Check Point To improve the effectiveness of the strategy for road safety in Thailand, policemen and officers in related organizations should consider and implement the proposals in this research paper.
