The purposes of this were to compare caregivers burden and quality of life among Schizophrenic patients before and after using by the case management program. A one group pre-post test design was utilized. The study samples consisted of 50 Schizophrenic patients who were being treated by community based case management program. The instrument used in the study were care map and clinical nursing practice guideline for Schizophrenic patients, burden questionnaires and quality of life questionnaires. All instruments were tested for contest validity and reliability. The reliability by Cronbach's alpha coefficient of burden and quality of life questionnaires were .94 and .84, respectively. Descriptive statistics and t-test were used in data analysis. The major findings were as follows: 1. Caregivers' burden who were used community base case management after the experiment was significantly lower than before using case management. (p‹.05). 2. The quality of life among Schizophrenic patients who were used community based case management after the experiment was significantly higher than using case management. (p<.05).
