Thai people was named drunkard of the 5th of the world and the past 14 years (from 1989-2003) the statistic of increasing drunkard equal to 3. Especially in 2003 the number of 7.84 million of Thai men between 25-44 years old drink alcohol almost 3,691 million liters, almost this amount as a labour group also to prefer white liquor up to 40 degrees as it was too cheap to easily buy in bulk. The latest statistic from the Thai Health Promotion Foundation and ABAC Poll to explore the quality of labour life in the 17 industries of 4 regions in amount of 2,656 cases study by the ages between 18-59 years old was presented that the labour life style of absolutely of drunk who was involved the evil path to destroy their health. The almost 48% of behavior habitually alcohol and 46.6% of them, tried to stop drinking or to extricate himself from the alcohol but it’s heavily to do that. The gathering information by the Women Workers Section, Friends of Women Foundation (FOW) under supporting from Stop Drink Network Organization in 3 industrial areas (Samutprakan, Lumpoon, and Samutsakorn-Nakhonpathom) to explore from the 200 cases study of the women and the men. The comparison between expenses and incomes for during 3 months (from March-May 2006) before the Buddhist Lent to show that the cause of squander money on the alcohol in amount of 606,990 Baht, its make them to be in severe troubles such as unsecured in economy, expenses over balance, unsafe in health and workplace, infected HIV/AIDS from sex affairs, accidence, etc. Then the seminar of the white factory without alcohol holding by Ministry of Labour and FOW to show more complicate problems; 50% of labour disputes in Chonburi industry and to make a cancellation working contact because of time late working for 3 days, lack of work efficiency by the cause of drinking alcohol including to impact of the domestic violence, crimes, etc. From the various problems, the result of the implement a project which reduces drinking by the Women Worker Section of FOW and labour groups, labour unions in Oom Noi Oom Yai area, Thai Kriang Durable Community-Prapradaeng, Hua Thai’s labour union-Nonthaburi, and Friends for Friends Club-Lumpoon industrial area more than 3 years can solved their problems to succeed in making them having a mew life, a new worth without alcohol as the below; 1.In terms of Gender Awareness: Giving love and happiness to family including house work and cooking for renovated a relationship in family improve to spent their lifestyle. 2.In terms of Economy Security: Such as there are so much money left in each month to save in the saving group or bank and to lift up their money status. So that they can afford something when they needed, and appropriated money for doing something for their family. 3.In terms of the Prototype of family, community and society: They had accepted each others acknowledge from their children, their wives or husbands and equally of community in the values such as to pay attention to talk each other in their family and their children, the neighbors appreciated and acknowledge as a good prototype for the next generation. The child was been absorbed in the way of living and looked up to leader of their family. 4.In terms of the Prototype of the factory or workplace: Such as they was allowed to attend in the various of activities to persuade new drinkers to less drinking or he could be a leader to press how to be a resource person in the factory to whom gain credibility together to campaign for health and safety. 5.In terms of Labour Unions and Employers: In generally, mostly the labour union activities always involve the alcohols thus the campaign for less drinking less violence to stimulate the labour leaders create the activities without alcohol and some labour union to induce the employer to hold the party without alcohol, including made a pledge of the labour in the dormitory to stop drinking in the Buddhist Lent. 6.In terms of Health: The drinkers who stopped drinking feel bright, cheerful, consciousness, prudent and thoughtful. All of them to be a change for the better being and trustfully character make them having the ways of living to live a happy life including to decrease unsafe in the workplace. In terms of Friendship in the labour industry community to create the network for less drinking : Such as the networking group of labour industry community in 3 areas both men and women. 8.In terms of Responsibility Awareness in Governmental agencies and employers: For developing the policy of White factory without alcohol and drugs. Thus then, the labour situation and the behavior of drinking alcohol as a pile up problems for several years especially drinking alcohol was became the culture of labour lives, so its doesn’t like this problem but the impact of alcohol always indeed clearly appears once, thus the project of less drinking among the labour as a new drinker group proved that solving the labor's problems makes them having a new life, a new worth without alcohol.
