Objective : The purpose of this research was to investigate of the effects of Anapanasati meditation training to depression of female adolescents in welfare protection and vocational training centre for women. Method : The 20 female adolescents were purposive sample selected based on the criteria, depressed female adolescent aged 12 – 17 years old, CDI (Children’s Depression Inventory) pre – test score was 15 and above and volunteer to participate thought out 4 weeks. These female adolescents were separated from the family and stayed in the Center, because being raped by the family members or relatives and other misbehavior causes. They were victimized, but being put in the Center by the court order to isolate and to be safety. The two-hour Anapanasati meditation session were developed. The session consisted of , depressed management and Anapanasati meditation training. The 1 hour educational program consisted of depression and how to cope it, live values, self-esteem and the development, life and how to live, follow by the Anapanasati meditation training. They trained three times per week, for four weeks. The data collection from the post-test score of CDI. The CDI consist of 27 questions, in-depth interview about the causes of depression and benefits of the meditation, self-report and pre and post meditation pulse check and behavior observation checklist by the Center personnel, friends and researcher. Result : The results revealed that, depression level from the CDI score was reduced. There was significant different between pre and post test scores at .05. The information from in-depth interview of 3 different scores were conducted (Center personnel, fiends and self-report). It showed that, behaviors and mental improvement. Finally, the information from self-report and each person in –depth interview informed that after took parts of the program, there were less depressed, more relaxed, felt calmed, feel better about self and less sorrowfulness and will not commit suicide. In addition, the other causes sample members reported that, if they can change the past, they would not do it and will not do it again.
