The findings from neuroscience are providing psychiatrists with more understanding of psychotherapy in the modern era. The past few years, various studies have reaffirmed a ling between neuroplasticity and the therapist-patient relation ship. Additionally, the most widespread approach is the one derived from the integration of the “mind-body processes” Therefore. The practice of contemporary psychotherapy cells for a primary focus on the individual patient as a whole person with existential essence and humanism rather than on a particular disease, diagnosis, drugs, neuroimaging techniques, neurotransmitters, or genes. Psychotherapy is currently in a phase of rapid change and growth. Evidence-based practice is replacing methods based on tradition and authority. Much of this development is integration in psychotherapy, both a theoretical and practical aspect. Tn the modern era, a number of new therapeutic approaches have appeared, such as dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive analytic therapy (CAT),psychodynamic interpersonal therapy (PIT) Buddhist psychotherapy, which is an integration of Buddhist doctrine and Western concepts of psychotherapy. Combined psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy is commonly practiced in contemporary psychiatry the psychodynamic constructs, such as therapeutic alliance, transference, and resistance can be applied to all modalities of psychiatric treatment.
