Advances in ADHD are multitudinous. The speakers endeavor to give an overview of some of the recent progress made in ADHD. We will focus on areas particularly relevant to clinical practice, such as new understanding in etiologies, neurobiology, co morbidity, treatment and long-term outcomes. The novel way of conceptualizing ADHD as a disorder of brain executive functions will be extensively covered as it may pave a creative way to classification, assessment and management of ADHD. The presentation culminates in a critical review of the recently published 3-year follow-up of the NIMHMTA study. Impact and implications of the study will be discussed. The symposium aims to be interactive.
