Postgraduate teaching for psychiatry in Malaysia has gone through many phases and since year 2000 the program has been a conjoint program between three major universities together with Ministry of Health. The program is called a conjoint postgraduate program in psychiatry, which allowed us to have common module and common postgraduate examination. This program is directly under postgraduate examination. This program is directly under postgraduate committees, which advice us on the curriculum content and core activities to beimplemented in the training of doctors before their examinations. The committee is also answerable to Ministry of Health who is the main consumers for our "products" In order to be relevant to the current need we put up a review committee that aim at revising the module for every 5 years. The latest review was done on the January 11, 2008. The review boards involved postgraduate committees, medical educationist, psychiatrist from ministry of health and also postgraduate students. Their role is to give the feedback of the 2000 module and training that was conducted for the past 5 yeaes. The final suggestion is to make to change in any irrelevant contents and also the examination techniques. The most recent is about changing the name from master degree to doctor of psychological medicine.
