The purpose of this action research were (1) to test the program effectiveness and (2) to promote the advisers modifying enhancing self-esteem program among tenager students. The program was carried out in the Nakorn-Khonkaen Secondary School, Khonkaen Province during July 2007 to January 2008. The samples were 29 advisers who were trained in the three days workshop program. Materials used consisted of 1) pretest and posttest evaluation form of knowledge seminar 2) an investigation of behavior survey of advisers for the researchers, 3) an evaluation form of each program purposes for students joined in the workshop program, 4) interviewing form of students for the researchers after the program and 5) the self-esteem scale (before and after program) for student. Statistical used were analyzed by mean and t-test. The trained advisers, after the program had conducted this program among their responsivble students under the two agreements. The first one were used for preventing/promoting student mental health by applying in the period of home room. The second one were used among high risk students or students with mental health programs. The following assessment were conducted on twice cycles by researchers. The first cycle was seminar evaluation and the second was interviewing . It was found that there were statistically significant increase in the self-Esteem scores among advisers after the program. Advisers could gain more knowledge and more satisfaction. They could apply the Enhancing self-Esteem program among students. So that advisers should be the first early detection in preventing/caring mental health problems. Moreover, students will be mentally promote regularly and continuously.
