Objective : To review the role of clinical psychologist as helper for Schizophrenic patients Method : The aggregation and collecting data are form various sources ; journal articles, thesis, books and textbooks. All references are both in Thai and English. Data from various websites up to the year 2007 were take into account for comparison the roles of clinical psychologists in Thailand Results : Clinical psychologist is one of the psychiatric team who has engagement for taking care of Schizophrenic patients as well as the other psychiatric patients. The role clinical psychologist consists of 5 standard professional tasks as followed 1. Psychodiagnostic assessment 2. Psychological treatment and rehabilitation which mostly are psychosocial intervention 3. Application of clinical psychological intervention for community mental health services and related field 4. Clinical Psychology training and consultations 5. Technological development and clinical psycology research Conclusion : In Thailand, there is still limitation in some extent in psychoneurological research. Also cognitive and behaviorally oriented therapy is still in the beginning process. Clinical psychologist nedds to develop for speacialty skill in order to provide the most benefit for schizophrenic patients.
