Objective : To process and analyze for conclusion as to sources, definition, elements and related factors of happiness, assessment tools and programs to promote happiness as are used overseas. Method : Search for information, articles and researches from overseas from various databases and analyze using the explanatory qualitative research analysis method. Results : Science which focuses on development of the happiness of workers in the organization based on the application of positive psychology study which defines the happiness in three levels, namely subjective level, individual level and group level, whereby the subjective level can be sub-divides according to time i.e.past, present and future. Assessment materials and programs to promote work happiness are various and cover different dimensions of happiness. Conclusion : There is an enhancement in overseas studies and researches relating to assessment of happiness and programs to promote the work happiness which should be considered as a guideline in the development of assessment tools and programs to promote the work happiness in Thailand. This should include consideration on the implementation and application of the certified standard assessment tools and effective development programs in Thai social and cultural environment.
