Objective: To study the effectiveness of violence prevention program in elementary schools. Methods: This research used quasiexperimental. The Experimental group received violence prevention program with emotional Quotient improvement. Samples were the elementary schools students grade 1-6, the first semester academic year 2008, 6 schools, 849 subjects include experimental group, 442 subject; and Control group, 407 subjects, and analyzed by descriptive statistics, Paired Sample t-test, Independent Sample t-test and ANCOVA. Results: 1) there was the lowest level of mean scores of risk behaviors for violence included before and after experiment. However after experiment, there was a significant decrease in mean scores of risk behaviors for violent students at .05 level; 2) students in grade 1 of experimental group had mean scores of risk behaviors for violence lower than control group at significant level of 05; 3) Students in grade 6 of experimental group had mean scores of Life Skill for Violence Prevention Program of Elementary Schools Students higher than control group at significant level of .05; 4) Students had mean scores of Emotional Quotient increasing at significant level .05; 5) Students of experimental group had mean scores of Emotional Quotient higher than control group at significant .05 level; and 6) There was significant difference in mean scores of Emotional Quotient between students grade 2,3,and 6 of experimental group and Control group at .05 level. Conclusion: EQ improvement program have effectiveness.
