The purpose of this quasi-experimental research was to stuty the effect of assertive community treatment program on quality of life and giobal assessment of function for metamphetamine psychosis'spatients who were admitted in Suanprung Hospital during January to December, 2000. Eleven subjects were purposively selected to be experimental group. The research tools were demographic questionnaire Assertive Community Treatment Program (PACT) Brief Psychiatric Rating Scale (BPRS)Global Assessment of Function Scale (GAF) and the world Health Organization Brief Quality of Life Assessment (WHOQOL-BREF). Datas were analyzed by Wilcoxon Matched Pairs Sign Ranks Test. The results of this study revealed that the scores of Quality of Life and GlobalAssessment of Function after the program significantly higher than the scores rated before the program (p‹.05). The findings indicate that Assertive Community Treatment Program could improve the Global Assessment of Function and Quality of Lifefor these patients.
