This study evaluated the outcomes of implementing suicide precaution for suicidal attempted patients protocol and the opinions about using of the protocol in Maesariang hospital, Maehongson province during October 2005 toSeptember 2006. The populations were 20 nurses who used suicid precaution forsuicidal attempted patients protocol and 78 files of suicide attemted patients. This study instrument was based on the CIPP model comprising the outcome survey form of the suicide precaution protocol for suicidal attemted pattients and opinions survey about process of using the protocol that was constructed from reviewing literature. Datas were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Findings were as follows outcomes of implementing suicide precaution for suicidal attempted patients protocol showed that; 68.83% of subjects had psychiatric disorders. One hundred percent of subjects were treated with psychotherapy. One hundred percent of Subjects did not attempted suicide during admission in the hospital. 65.4 % of subjects followed-up at the hospital afterdischarge. 3.8 % of subjects attempted suicide 3 months after discharge. The average number of days that they stayed at a hospital was 4.44 days. The opinions of nurse team about using the suicide precaution for suicidal attempted patients protocol in Maesariang hospital, Maehongson province found that; Eighty five percent of nurses who used the suicide precaution for suicidal attempted patients protocol in Maesarieng hospital, Maehongson province appreciated using the protocol. Eighty percent of nurses agreed that the protocol was conveniently implemented. The protocol was extensively applicable to patient care. Seventy five percent of nuses agreed that the protocol was easy to use for caring the patients.
