This study evaluated the implementing the physical and psychologicalrehabilitation for patients with alcohol related disorders and examined the opinions about using of the protocol in Thongsaenkhan hospital, Uttaradit province during october 2005 to September 2006. Thesample were a team of 4 nurses who cared forpatients with alcohol related disorders and 64 files of patients with alcohol related disorders. This study instrument was based on the CIPP model comprising the outcomesurvey form of using the protocol to care patients with alcohol related disorders and the opinion survey form about process of the protocol that was constructed fromreviewed litertures. Descriptive statistics were used for data analysis. Findings were as follow of implementing physical and psychological rehabilition for patients alcohol related disorders protocol showed that; 67.19% of patients completed the the protocol whereas 32.81% of the patients did not complete the protocol. After finishing the and psychological rehabilitation for patients with alcohol related disorders protocol, 48.44% of the patients did not drink, however after 1, 3, and 6 months, 15.61%, and 3.12% of them returned to drink respectively.Regarding the level of drinking in the patients who returned to drink, 23.44% of them drank at a safe level and 12.50% of them drank at an unsafe level. 53.13% of patients had means to prevent themselves from returning to drink, whereas 32.81% showed no means for prevention. The opinion about using of the protocol patients with alcohol related disorders in process evaluation among the care team, the result revealed that; All of nurses agreed that the protocol was easy to use, clear , not complicated, and cost effective in caring for the patients with alcohol related disorders. They were all satisfied with the protocol. 75 % of nurses agreed that the protocol was conveniently implemented and was practical.
